Nina Jares - Programme Director

Nina has got a Masters Degree in Social Education and over 8 years work experience with young children in various settings. She was trained at the German Swiss International School in Hong Kong and obtained a teaching position at the German School Shanghai. After successfully running the private international preschool centre inside the Shanghai Racquet Club she taught at the Julia Gabriel Centre for Learning before taking over the educational management of the Sino European International Preschool.

Michael Clayton - Preschool Teacher

Michael is from Toronto, Canada. He has a degree in History and Languages plus a TEFL certificate focusing on early childhood education. Michael has a Montessori background and he believes helping children become more independent makes them learn faster. He has been a teacher for almost 10 years in Mexico, Canada, Korea and now China. Michael was Head Teacher at his school in Korea for seven years and Principal of a Kindergarten in Nanjing, China.

Christianne Chappell - Preschool Teacher

Orlaith Dignam - Preschool Teacher

Orlaith is a Montessori Teacher, Play Therapist and English Teacher from Ireland. She has a Postgraduate Diploma in Play Therapy from the University of York. She has 20 years experience working with children and continues to enjoy her work wherever she is in the world. When educating children Orlaith combines the knowledge and skills she has acquired with compassion and enthusiasm.

Fred Ward - Preschool Teacher

Fred has over 5 years of kindergarten teaching experience at both international and local schools in Shanghai. Born in London, UK he came to China in 2001 and his passion and pure enjoyment for teaching children has never stopped! He loves singing with the kids, teaching basic English conversation and playing fun learning games.

Kelly Zhou - Mandarin Teacher

Kelly has successfully accomplished a 4 year university course in early childhood education. Being the daughter of two teachers she literally grew up in a devoted teaching environment which made her become a natural, loving and dedicated teacher for over 8 years. Her last placements were with the 3&3 Bilingual Schools in Shanghai and Beijing where she very much enjoyed the co- teaching with her English colleagues.

Courtney Zheng - Mandarin Teacher

Courtney is a state certified early childhood education teacher. She has taught toddler classes and “Mommy and Me” programmes with great passion for over 4 years at the Babytree Preschool in Shanghai. Her loving and caring character makes it easy for her to adapt to new things and gain the trust of her students.

Candy Li - Mandarin Teacher

Candy is a certified early childhood educator and has worked in Yangzhou  and Shanghai since leaving Collage. In her 4-year experience she has worked in bilingual schools and gained a wealth of experience working with pre-school students. Her love for singing and dancing with children is sure to brighten up some of those rainy Shanghai days.

Sophia Lu - Mandarin Teacher

Sophia graduated from East China Normal University and holds a Diploma in Preschool Education. She is very excited to be with us and to assist our preschool team in the classroom. Sophia loves playing with children and strives to make the classroom a fun and enjoyable environment.
